DT Swiss Product Safety Recall

Dear dealer,
After previously issuing a safety warning for their ERC, CRC, and HEC wheels with serial numbers from 2750000 onwards, DT SWISS is now also recalling its ARC wheels.

Below we explain what you, as a dealer, need to do.
Analysis of several incidents involving the affected wheels has shown that the outer carbon layers may spontaneously detach, posing potential risks.

Which products are affected?

The recall applies to wheels from the following series, delivered after August 1, 2024:

These wheels were sold as standalone products and as part of complete bicycles, through both online and authorized retailers.
  • ARC 1100 / 1400 / 1600 DICUT 50 / 55 / 65
  • ARC 1600 SPLINE 50 / 55 / 65
  • ERC 1100 / 1400 / 1600 DICUT 35 / 45
  • ERC 1600 SPLINE 35 / 45
  • ERC LOG CLASSIC 45
  • CRC 1100 DICUT 45
  • CRC 1400 / 1600 SPLINE 35 / 45
  • HEC 1400 SPLINE 45

Important:

Only wheels with carbon rims produced in Vietnam are affected by this recall. Additionally, only products with a DT Swiss ID number higher than 2740000 may be affected. Not all wheels with an ID number above 2740000 are necessarily subject to the recall.

What should you do?

  • Check the DT Swiss ID number on the wheels.
  • This number can be found on the wheel and verified via the official recall website: https://www.dtswiss.com/en/recall
  • Is the product affected by the recall?
  • Then register it via the online form on the site.

Remedy:

DT SWISS will provide a free replacement wheel of the same type, unless a warranty claim has already been submitted through the seller.
